Leave behind the motorway, the traffic on the main road, the tourist buses and the hustle and bustle of the centre of Sorrento. Continue along the sea towards the tip of the Sorrento peninsula with Capri getting closer and closer.
You will arrive at Casa Clementina and here you will understand why this part of the world is known everywhere as the ‘Land of the Sirens’.
The picturesque and lively town of Sorrento is a 20-minute drive from the B&B.
CAPRI
The view of Capri from this corner of the coast is magnificent: it immediately triggers the desire to reach it.
We always recommend the boat excursions that depart from the nearby Marina della Lobra (Massa Lubrense): they offer a boat tour of the island and a few hours of free time to visit the island by land.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to make your own arrangements, you can reach the port of Sorrento from where hydrofoils and ferries depart.

What to see in a day on Capri?
POMPEI
To reach Pompeii, we recommend taking the Circumvesuviana train that leaves from Sorrento and reaches the station of Pompei Villa dei Misteri (just opposite the entrance to the excavations) in less than half an hour.
Herculaneum is also easily reached by train. You can decide to combine a visit to the excavations with a climb up the crater of Vesuvius.

THE AMALFI COAST
You can reach the Amalfi Coast in about 40 minutes by car from the B&B.
If travelling in high season, when traffic on the Coast can be a problem, we recommend using the ferries to Positano and Amalfi that leave from Sorrento or booking a boat excursion.
From Sorrento there are regular and tourist buses that travel the entire coastline.

SORRENTO
Sorrento is about 15-20 minutes by car from the B&B: there are several car parks in the centre where you can leave your car.
Here you can stroll through the alleys of the old town, buy souvenirs (and limoncello!), admire the view from the Villa Comunale, stop for an ice cream or an aperitif, or go for dinner in one of the many excellent restaurants.
